Kershaw 46-2 Ballast Regulator is a medium-production ballast shaping and profiling machine. It is equipped one pass transfer plow, 36” (914 mm) wide reversible wings, and a broom attachment making it a powerful versatile machine for ballast shaping, shoulder profiling, and a variety of other track maintenance operations. This Kershaw 46-2 Ballast Regulator was completely overhauled by MOW Equipment into 2021 and delivered to our client in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Several services included in the overhaul, just to name a few:
- Rebuilt Detroit 453T power unit, gearbox and transmission, axles, plow, wings, broom.
- Replaced all hydraulic pumps and hoses
- Replaced and repaired all electrical including battery, alternator, and wiring.
- Repacked all hydraulic cylinders.
- Refurbished wheels.
- Rebuilt compressor / flush tanks.
- Complete service of all fluids/grease/etc.
- Painted machine and components.
